Castle crashers is a game on both Xbox and PS3, although only for download. The game is set in a medieval universe in which an evil wizard steals a mystical gem from the king and captures the four princesses. Four knights are told by the king to rescue the princesses, recover the jewel, and bring the wizard to justice. Now if I am honest the story line is terrible (apart from the purple haired princess but i won’t ruin the fun). This game is terrible one player; this is because it gets boring very quickly. The graphics are not very good either; cartoony is the best way to describe them. Yet another problem is that aside from the campaign there is very little to do apart from battle online and “All you can quaff” a button mashing game that leaves your hands seized up and cramping and you crying in pain... Unless you’re an addicted rockband/guitar hero player like me, then it’s just boring. So you’re probably thinking why should I pay 1200 Microsoft points for a game that Plantman is giving loads of bad rep. Well here is the answer, get a couple mates to buy it or get them over for the weekend and I can you be almost certain you will all become addicted to: the small tiny bits of humor (deers being propelled forwards by poo), the multiple number of characters, over 20 characters (with the character packs) most have different animations that frankly at times are hysterical, pets that can save your own and your friend’s ass, also pets that attack you when you are on low health provide days of entertainment. There is a frankly brilliant leveling up system which is only limited by the level limit itself (sad face) with a second play though called INSANE MODE that is challenging and even funnier than the first (blooming thieves and their pesky arrows). All in all i would say it is an amazing game, IF you can get a friend to shed the Microsoft points as well, or fiends come over regularly.Thursday, 3 November 2011
